POPIA Notice

This notice explains how Ladybuggz Preschool processes personal information submitted through this website in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

Responsible party

Ladybuggz Preschool is the responsible party for website enquiry information. The school is located at 160 9th Avenue, corner of Armadale Street, Sydenham, Johannesburg, 2192.

Purpose and information processed

The school processes parent or guardian contact details, optional child-related enquiry details, preferred visit dates, messages and security metadata to answer enquiries, provide enrolment information, arrange visits and protect the form against abuse.

Lawful processing and consent

The enquiry form requires consent before submission. Information is processed to respond to the requested contact and, where applicable, for legitimate school administration or legal obligations.

Security safeguards

Enquiry records are stored outside the public web directory in an isolated database. The form uses server-side validation, CSRF protection, a non-intrusive spam trap and rate limiting. Staff access is protected by authentication and two-factor verification. Network addresses are stored only as one-way hashes.

Optional analytics and marketing

Non-essential analytics or marketing technologies load only after an affirmative visitor choice. Rejection leaves the website usable. Tracking events are limited to general interactions such as contact-link clicks, schedule views and enquiry types; personal enquiry fields are excluded.

Retention

Website enquiry records are assigned a 12-month deletion date and are removed by the application’s scheduled retention task when that date is reached, unless a legal obligation requires continued retention.

Your POPIA rights

You may request access, correction or deletion, or object to processing where POPIA permits. Contact 060 861 8664 or WhatsApp.

Complaints

Please contact the school first so it can investigate the concern. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator South Africa.
